At PIE, we exist to create new streams of passive, recurring donations to social and environmental impact projects that need consistent funding.
We do this by arranging essential recurring services like email, phone, internet, software, cloud, energy, and merchant services for our member clients in a simple, proven manner that generates a meaningful cash donation every time you pay your bill.
This is always done without increasing cost, complexity, or downtime. (In fact, we save our clients money 90% of the time during the engagement!)

The 2021 Pilot Case Study: RealWealth
PIE helped transform our inaugural pilot member RealWealth’s unified communications expense into a recurring donation big enough to fund multiple life-changing surgeries every year, every year, with their charity partner Operation Smile. Now every phone call or text message their team makes helps change lives, which has enhanced morale noticeably. PIE also helped reduced this communications expense by thousands of dollars a year. A win for all.
April 2022: EcoArbor Designs
PIE helped transform EcoArbor Designs’ merchant services expense into a recurring donation to their charity partner Habitat for Humanity. Now every time an EcoArbor client pays their invoice via credit card this generates a small donation to help low-income families achieve homeownership. PIE also reduced EcoArbor’s merchant services expense to help increase cash flow to grow the business and its impact.
May 2022: Webinars @ RealWealth
PIE reduced RealWealth’s webinar services expense and transformed it into a recurring donation to their impact partner Mentor’s International. Every webinar RealWealth gives now generates a small donation to help families move from poverty to self-reliance through personalized mentoring, learning of vocational skills, and access to micro-loans through Mentor International’s incredible offerings. PIE’s purpose-powered webinars are a win for all.
June 2022: WeHero
PIE helped transform WeHero’s Zoom and Google Workspace expenses into a recurring annual donation to Feeding America. This annual donation will provide at least 400 meals every year to assist families facing hunger. WeHero’s team was thrilled to discover that every email they sent and every Zoom call they made would be helping feed families in need, and the leadership team shared a noticeable increase in company morale.
June 2022: SpeechPad’s AWS
PIE helped transform SpeechPad’s AWS expense into a recurring donation to support the World Literacy Foundation. WLF’s mission is to ensure every child, regardless of geographic location, has the opportunity to acquire literacy skills to reach their full potential. SpeechPad was the first member to purpose-power their public cloud instance with PIE, which is one of the largest expenses of many companies’ tech stack. Thanks for blazing the trail SpeechPad!
July 2022: ThAiPAS
PIE helped transform ThAiPAS Thai Street Food’s merchant services expenses into a quarterly donation to Oregon Adaptive Sports. OAS provides state-of-the-art equipment, professional instruction, staff, and dedicated volunteers to deliver top-quality experiences to adaptive athletes. In Q4 ThAiPAS donated to Bethlehem Inn to help them provide shelter and hope to those experiencing homelessness in Central Oregon. ThAiPAS’ customers chose the nonprofits to support, and the donations change every quarter to promote important causes in Central Oregon.
July 2022: Email @ RealWealth
PIE helped transform RealWealth’s Google Workspace expense into a recurring donation to Youth Opportunity Center. Youth Opportunity Center works to catch kids who have fallen and teach them how to stand on their own again. YOC had been receiving annual donations at a percentage of profits for many years. PIE’s donation augmented their current commitment to allow them to help even more kids in need while reminding their team of RealWealth’s deeper commitment to impact baked into every email they send, Google Meet they do, or document they work on together.
August 2022: Embark Coworking
PIE helped transform Embark Bend’s network security expenses into a recurring donation to Family Access Network. FAN offers assistance, possibility, and hope to Central Oregon families in need by connecting them with crucial resources that will help children flourish in school and in life. Who would have thought something as boring as an annual security software renewal could actually create an exciting impact in the lives of kids?
October 2022: Quickbooks @ RealWealth
PIE transformed RealWealth’s Quickbooks Online expense into a recurring donation to Habitat for Humanity. RealWealth had been paying their Quickbooks expenses for several years without knowing there was a way to generate a recurring donation to build strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelters built by this awesome charity. This is the 4th purpose-powered expense for RealWealth, making them the first Green Certified PIE Member.
December 2022: Puffin’s Microsoft 365
PIE transformed Puffin Drinkwear’s Microsoft 365 expense into a recurring donation to Think Wild in Bend, Oregon. Think Wild’s mission is to inspire the high desert community to care for and protect native wildlife through education, conservation, and rescue/rehabilitation. They run a Wildlife Hospital and Conservation Center for native wildlife care for Central and parts of Eastern Oregon.
January 2023: Ruffwear
PIE is working to transform Ruffwear’s recurring security renewal into a passive donation to Family Access Network. This is a fine example of how ordinary, boring technology expenses can help change lives.
February 2023: Techstars
PIE has transformed Techstar’s AWS cloud expense into passive donations to a worthy cause that will be determined in Q4 of 2023. For many companies, AWS is one of the most significant expenses in their tech stack. PIE. is very excited to have partnered with an AWS Premier Partner with a global team of experts to deliver our Purpose-Powered Cloud Offering.
